Overturned Dump Truck Snarls Route 23 Traffic In West Milford An overturned dump truck backed up traffic in both directions on Route 23 in West Milford Township late Friday morning, July 25, authorities said. The crash happened just before 11:48 a.m. near Old Ridge Road, according to the NJDOT site. All northbound lanes remained open, but the right lane and shoulder were closed southbound as of 12:25 p.m. Drivers were urged to expect delays as crews worked to clear the scene. No word yet on injuries or what caused the truck to overturn. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

Chit Chat Diner Screwdriver Stabbing: Cops Release Details In Hackensack Fight Hackensack police have released details in a Friday morning, July 25 stabbing at Chit Chat Diner. Agustin Fuentes-Sanchez, 55, of Rochelle Park, was exiting onto Essex Street when he nearly hit a 49-year-old pedestrian trying to cross Porter Avenue, Hackensack Police Chief Michael Antista said. VA Residents' Electric Bill Is About To Spike Again A record-high electricity auction held by PJM Interconnection is expected to drive up energy bills across much of the East Coast, even as many states have already been hit with rate hikes this summer. The results of PJM’s 2026/2027 Base Residual Auction, announced Tuesday, July 22, show the price of capacity cleared at the federal cap of $329.17 per megawatt-day, the highest in years. Ex-Hudson County Corrections Officer Who Killed GF, Best Friend Sentenced: Report A former Hudson County corrections officer who killed his girlfriend and her friend in 2021 has learned his fate.
