A New Jersey man has been arrested after police say he and two accomplices posed as FBI agents, forced their way into a woman's apartment and stole $7,500 from her safe.
Samuel Prata, 42, was arrested Sunday, Oct. 4, in connection with the Thursday, Aug. 27 home invasion on Mott Street near Raymond Boulevard, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda Sr. said.

A fashion company CEO and his wife were found shot dead outside their California home, according to multiple reports.
Neighbors identified the couple as Bryan and Michelle Walker, who built the women’s clothing brand, Bryn Walker.
They were found outside their home on Panoramic Way in Oakland, California, on Friday, Oct. 2, The Berkeley Scanner reported.

Three people were found shot dead in a New Jersey home, including one person who was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Friday, Oct. 2, officials said.
At 5:52 p.m., the three bodies were discovered at a home on Wild Azalea Lane, in Skillman, Somerset County Prosecutor John McDonald said.

A shoplifter ran across Route 17 and into a brook after filling three rolling suitcases with more than $2,000 worth of stolen merchandise at a Paramus store, authorities said.
Maki J. Davis, 22, of Brooklyn, was arrested following the theft at Marshalls on Route 17 South around 11:32 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, Paramus Police Chief Robert M. Guidetti said.

A 57-year-old New Jersey man surrendered to police after gunshots were reported and heard near a home on Thursday morning, Oct. 1, authorities said.
